A late 30s, oncology PhD, former film festival press/blogger who wanted to find a creative oulet for her thoughts and interests. From this, she created letters to self and all of those who care to read along, musings on relationships, culture, and activism with the goal of finding joy, beauty, and knowledge in the every day.

Louisiana-born, resident of Atlanta who was probably British in another life. Hobbies include dancing like I think I’m still 21, listening to the same song on repeat 20x in row, avoiding cleaning my home, repeating words or phrases for emphasis, and being the only person that hasn’t seen ‘Hamilton’.

When I reached my 20s and I began to treat everything like the art that it was.
Movies weren’t just something to entertain myself for a couple of hours, they were artful storymaking with visuals (I then became a film blogger and film press), dance wasn’t just for going out and clubbing, it was rhythmic movement for cultural expression (I sought out adult dance classes in my free time), and clothes weren’t just something to look cute in every now and then but it’s fashion and a way to express your mood (I recently became obsessed with print mixing). Moral of the story is, you don’t have to be a creative to live creatively.
